Swift endorsement: Taylor backs Kamala after debate

Cockburn knew Taylor Swift was trouble when she walked in. Too much time in Hollywood (Cockburn saw it coming when she switched genres from country to pop), has turned the Tennessee Christian girl into a “childless cat lady” who just endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

Swift took to Instagram immediately after presidential debate to declare:

Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.

Recently I was made aware that AI of “me” falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

Swift went on to announce she will be voting for the Harris-Walz ticket because Harris “fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.

“I think [Harris] is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades,” Swift added.

The songstress concluded her post by reminding people to vote early and signed her message, “With love and hope,” identifying herself as a “Childless cat lady.” The post garnered 1.8 million likes within half an hour from people who were likely not voting for Trump anyway, but who may be inspired to vote now if they were not planning to do so before.

Swift’s endorsement comes amid speculation that she had a falling out with BFF Brittany Mahomes over Brittany’s support of Donald Trump. The gal pals were, however, pictured together shortly thereafter at the US Open, where Mahomes and her NFL start husband Patrick lived it up in VIP with Swift and her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce.
